Strange one, I parked my car in the heatwave we had recently and according to the car energy monitor after I
returned I had lost some 20% battery power !
Is it normal to lose range in high heat ??

Yes, usually dealers insurance but most need full licence and some restrict on age. Ask them when you get there.

I installed an untehered charging point, the reasons are that the wife has a Nissan Leaf and I have a Tesla so different cables.
Secondly I got a garage so can leave it hooked up like tethered so no big deal.

Mobile Phone companys dont design the batterys to last, its not in their interest whereas in an EVs they are a critical component (and a major selling point). They cap the maximum charge and load cycling on individual cells plus they manage the heat of the battery. Current EV batteries will last 500...

The appeal for me wasnt just about money its was environmental ! My kid has asthma and if I can do my bit for the planet (and save a little as well) then thats good enough for me.

Pretty simple you need to be registered on the Podpoint app... so download that first. Plug one end into the car, the other end into the car. Select the socket and then click the green "confirm charge". The charging bays have different rates : 7KW fast chargers - which will be free to use....

Well you have the cabin's air filter, then you have the windscreen wipers and oil for lubrication.
